For a limited time only, our famous ice cave (as seen on SNS) will be open to the public! Come and enjoy the breathtaking naturally-formed icicles. This year, we will also have an ice palace!

Illumination of 600,000 lights
Come and see one of the largest scale illuminations in Iwate prefecture! Children and adults alike will be able to enjoy many interactive illuminations such as swings, slides, and mazes. This year, we also have a number of original illuminations that will be unveiled for the first time. Don’t miss out!

Vote for your favorite ramen at the “Mahora Ramen Election”
You will have a chance to try three types of local ramen different from the ramen which will be sold at the main event. Vote for your favorite ramen and decide the winner! Voters will be selected by lottery to a receive a free ticket for a bowl of ramen at the main event.

Towel Freezing Competition (entrance fee required)
A premium event held only on days when the weather forecast predicts night time temperatures to be 10 degrees below zero! If you can freeze a towel, you can get a prize!

Break a huge block of ice with a hammer and take out a capsule containing a prize voucher! You’ll have to wait until you break the ice to find out what you win!
