If the bus time is not convenient or you are coming in a weekday, we recommend taking a taxi. If you take a Kogawa taxi, Mahora Iwate will give you a specialty set present!
Ice Cave
You will feel as though you have wandered into a magical country when you enter the ice cave. At night, the ice cave is lit up and you can experience a romantic atmosphere, different from the daytime.
Ice Bar (Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and national holidays, 17:00-20:00)
Due to popular demand, we will expand our business this year! Enjoy a special moment in an atmospheric building made of ice. Please feel free to come along and spend some time here. Children are welcome too!
Ice Palace and Ice Sculptures
In addition to the ice palace and a number of beautiful ice sculptures, we are happy to announce there will be an “ice wall”, an “ice house”, and an “ice forest” this year. This mysterious ice world is quite the sight!
The Largest LED light Illumination
in the Prefecture
Mahora Iwate will be lit up by 600,000 LED lights. This year, we have created an exciting new “renewal area”. Please enjoy it with your precious family, lover, or friends.
Kotatsu in a Kamakura
You can order hot pots, ramen, or snacks, and enjoy them in a kamakura. You can look at the superb snowy scenery while having something to eat in a kamakura. This area is also very popular as a photo spot.
Snow park
There is a lot of playground equipment, such as a huge slide and sleds. You can play all day.
Gastronomic Fair
Enjoy a mouthwatering menu that uses ingredients from Iwate prefecture. We will be selling "imoni"(taro and meat soup) that will warm your body and mind, and delicious beef skewers.
Mahora Shrine
A hidden gem and “power spot” in Iwate. Perhaps it will bring good things to you.

Hinata Hall (2023. 11 New Open)
Hinata Hall has good access to ice fishing on Lake Gando. You can bathe and take a rest here. Basic accommodation is available, and you can buy souvenirs here too!
